You begin with the Blue Mosque, seen from outside, admired for its elegant domes and impressive minarets.
Next is Hagia Sophia, also seen from outside, one of the city's most iconic landmarks. You then walk across the historic Hippodrome (Sultanahmet Square), once the centre of social life and sporting events in Byzantine times.
After the Old City highlights you continue to Taksim Square, the modern heart of Istanbul.
The tour ends with a pleasant walk along Istiklal Avenue, famous for its lively atmosphere, historic buildings, street performers and local shops. Afterwards you are driven back to your hotel.
