Your guide meets you in your hotel lobby, and you set out to explore three of the city's leading contemporary art museums: Pera Museum, Istanbul Modern and Arter.
Pera Museum: since opening in 2005 it has hosted exhibitions by internationally renowned artists. It is housed in a beautifully restored building first built as the Hotel Bristol in 1893, combining historic charm with a strong focus on contemporary culture, and it has become one of Istanbul's most respected cultural institutions.
Istanbul Modern: Turkey's first museum of modern and contemporary art, founded in 2004 and recently moved to a striking new building on the Karakoy waterfront. Its changing exhibitions of Turkish and international artists give a clear overview of today's art.
Arter: your final stop, a contemporary art space dedicated to producing and exhibiting innovative work across disciplines.
At the end of the tour your guide takes you back to your hotel.
