Cappadocia Wine Tasting Tour with Private Guide
Our driver meets you in your hotel lobby and takes you to Kocabag Winery, one of the oldest and most respected wine producers in Cappadocia.
The winery sits in a region that has produced wine for thousands of years, and it combines traditional Anatolian winemaking with modern techniques.
You begin with a guided tasting of four carefully selected wines served with a cheese platter. Your host, a wine expert, explains the character of each wine, the grape varieties and the production methods used at the winery.
The wines are made in a naturally rock-carved cellar that stays at 14-15°C all year round, whatever the weather outside. The grapes are moved and fermented using the gravity-flow method, without pumps, which protects the fruit and its quality.
After the tasting you take a short walk through the vineyard and learn how Cappadocia's climate, volcanic soils and vineyard practices shape its wines. Seeing where the grapes grow completes the experience.
You then return to your hotel with a new appreciation of Cappadocia's landscapes and winemaking heritage.
