Private Turkey Tour Package 8 Days 7 Nights
This 8-day, 7-night journey from the USA covers the places most visitors want to see in Turkey. In Istanbul you tour the Old City with a guide, from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque to Topkapi Palace and the Grand Bazaar, and cruise the Bosphorus between Europe and Asia.
You then fly to Cappadocia for the Green and Red Tours among valleys, underground cities, fairy chimneys and cave churches, with an optional sunrise hot air balloon flight.
From Kusadasi you explore the ancient city of Ephesus and the House of the Virgin Mary, and visit the white travertine terraces of Pamukkale and the ruins of Hierapolis, before flying back to Istanbul.
Hotels are 4 and 5 star, domestic flights and airport transfers are included, breakfast is served daily and lunch is included on tour days.

Day 1 - Arrival in Istanbul
Welcome to Turkey. Our team meets you at Istanbul Airport and takes you to your hotel by private transfer. The rest of the day is free, so you can rest after your flight or start exploring the city at your own pace.

Day 2 - Istanbul Old City Tour
A full-day guided tour of the historic heart of Istanbul, visiting its best-known landmarks and learning about the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires. In the evening you can visit a Turkish hammam and spa (optional).

Day 3 - Bosphorus Cruise and Flight to Cappadocia
In the morning you cruise the Bosphorus between Europe and Asia, with views of the Istanbul skyline, the waterfront palaces and other landmarks. The afternoon is free, and in the evening you transfer to the airport for your flight to Cappadocia.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do US citizens need a visa to visit Turkey?
No. US citizens do not need a visa for tourist stays of up to 90 days. You only need a US passport that is valid for at least six months from your date of entry. There are no forms, fees or advance applications.
Which flights go direct from the USA to Istanbul?
Turkish Airlines flies nonstop to Istanbul every day from 13 US cities: New York JFK, Newark, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, Boston, Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, San Francisco, Seattle, Washington DC and Detroit. The flight takes about 10-13 hours depending on your departure city. From New York JFK, flight TK2 leaves at 20:00 and lands in Istanbul the next morning; the return flight TK1 leaves Istanbul at 15:10. If you are flying from another US city, we can help you arrange the tour from there.
Is the Cappadocia hot air balloon ride included in the tour?
No, the balloon ride is an optional add-on and is not part of the base package, but we recommend it. At sunrise you drift over the fairy chimneys with around 100 other balloons, and many guests say it was the highlight of their trip. Tell us when you book and we reserve it for you in advance. Flights sell out quickly in peak season, so early booking is essential.
What happens after I book, and can I contact you beforehand?
You can message us on WhatsApp before booking. We go through the full programme with you, answer your questions and confirm the details before you commit. Once you book, your dedicated travel assistant contacts you straight away, and within 24 hours you receive all hotel confirmations, domestic flight details, pick-up times and your day-by-day itinerary as a PDF. You can still adjust the programme, for example with extra nights, a balloon ride, different hotels or a slower pace. We stay in touch on WhatsApp from booking until you are back home.
Can you create a fully customised Turkey tour for me?
Yes. You may want more time in Istanbul, or to add the Antalya coast, Bodrum, Gallipoli or a gulet cruise; you may prefer 5-star hotels or a slower pace with more free time. Cancellation Policy
